Sunflowers are the state flower of Ukraine. Our hearts are with the brave, patriotic people of that sovereign nation as they endure horrific attacks from Russia. This is our symbol of that respect and of our support. We hope and believe that Blue Dots share that feeling with our red-state neighbors.
When we introduced this design just days ago, we donated part of the proceeds in support of the brave independent journalists of Ukraine who continue to risk everything to get the hard facts out to the world. We are happy to report that the fundraiser started for that effort has just met its goal. So now we will begin to contribute part of our proceeds to an organization that tops lists at both the Washington Post and Wired for doing critical work for beleaguered Ukrainians and for needing continued funds: CARE.
